Dakar 2011 – but where?

Rumours have been that the Dakar will reurn to Africa for the 2011 edition for a while. But now staying in South America has been the word. Or maybe the totally new route gouing through South Africa and Namibia.

By the sounds of the latest negotiations there is a 50/50 between South America and North Africa…

The Dakar organisation ASO will announce the route of 2011 later this month. I hope for South America again, where I have so many fans! Hope to see you next year!

    Good to know your surgery went well.
    As an argentinian I REALLY hope the Dakar 2011 will return to South America. That way I’ll be able to see you again!

    It would be nice to see it in South America again..it seems as if the people are more thrilled and turn out in masses. And after the threat of terrorists in ’08 would it really be safe to return?
    So glad to hear you are doing well what with the surgery. It was really super to be able to follow your progress this year. You Go Girl and I can’t wait for next year wherever it may be!
