Annie Seel back in the SCORE Baja 1000
The Swedish rally driver Annie Seel is lined up for the 51st edition of the SCORE Baja 1000 Offroad race in Mexico.
Together with the team of north Californian Michael Kay she is taking on the Baja challenge in a class 11 VW Bug.
They raced together already 16 years ago with Robert Barnum, finishing 8th in the Pro Moto class 22.
– I’m am so exited to come back to this legendary Offroad race after so many years. I will be a new experience to race in a classic car like the Baja Bug, says a smiling Annie Seel at line up for pre technical inspection.
Annie Seel is one of the top female international rally racers having competed in major events like the Dakar, and many more of the World Cup Cross Country races both in Moto and Auto cathegory. In the Dakar Rally 2010 she was crowned the women’s champion.
By racing this Baja 1000 in a car, she will be the only woman who has raced both Dakar rally and the Baja 1000 in cathegories Moto and Auto.
